Singaporean shipbuilder Strategic Marine has received an order from Louis Dreyfus Armateurs for two more crew transfer vessels (CTVs), bringing their fleet up to seven high-specification vessels. These 27-meter CTVs, sister ships to Acti’Vent and Esti’Vent, are designed to carry 24 passengers each. The new CTVs, based on the StratCat 27 design, are scheduled for delivery in early 2025.
Louis Dreyfus Armateurs’ Renewables Managing Director, Gaël Cailleaux, stated that these additions align with their strategy to grow their Offshore Renewables business in France and Europe, catering to the evolving needs of the French offshore wind industry. The CEO of Strategic Marine, Chan Eng Yew, highlighted that the StratCat 27 vessels have proven successful in European markets and are gaining traction in expanding markets like Taiwan and Korea.
