Remi Eriksen, the longstanding Group President and CEO, will step away from his duties for 7 months to undergo medical treatment. The board has appointed Knut Orbeck-Nilssen, current CEO of DNV Maritime, as Interim Group President and CEO from 1 February to 31 August 2026.

Knut Orbeck-Nilssen stated, “It’s with great respect and humility that I step in for Remi during his absence. DNV’s strategy and commitments remain unchanged, and we will continue to deliver for our customers and partners without interruption.” The board, led by Chair Fredrik Baksaas, expressed strong support for Remi Eriksen and confidence in the interim leadership team.

DNV’s interim leader, Knut Orbeck-Nilssen, brings over 25 years of international management experience in the marine, oil, and gas industries. He joined DNV in 2010 and has served as CEO of DNV Maritime since 2015.
